what follows is everything you need to know about Mr. Brock:
- Striped shirts and khakis are kind of his thing.
- He likes to sit crisscross on desks while sharing info with you about the government.
- He sneezes in increments of 3.
- His wife, Courtney, makes the best muffins.
- Has Pizza Hut on speed dial. (Thanks to after school study sessions.)
- Wants you to have fun, but most importantly wants you to really learn.
- He cares about his students, much more so than a majority of the other teachers do.
- Tries his hardest to make sure everyone knows what's going on during class.
- Pushes each and everyone of us to learn and apply ourselves at test time.
I'll never forget what he said at the beginning of the year, he looked at all of us, while he was perched in his usual crisscross sitting position and said, "If I know what color your eyes are by the end of this year, you're going to pass the test." That was my goal for the rest of the year, maintain eye contact and really listen to him. He seemed to know what he was talking about 99.9% of the time, so why not give it a shot right? My whole perspective of the government and politics shifted and so have some of my beliefs, Mr. Brock is obviously not the same ideology as I am, yet I have started to form a sense of bi-partisanship and understand his veiws as well as my own.
As long as you take this class seriously, whatever block you have this class will be the best one of the day. I promise you.
